WHAT TO WATCH FOR

• The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will return to action with the Pensacola 150 at Five Flags Speedway Friday. Ben Kennedy was a popular winner in the series’ inaugural event at the Pensacola, Fla., half-mile a year ago. Current season points leader Ben Rhodes has won three of the last four races and will look to continue his hot streak while fellow NASCAR Next driver Gray Gaulding is slated to attempt a weekend double of Five Flags on Friday and Gateway Motorsports Park on Saturday in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series action in Madison, Ill.

• Race No. 2 on the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 calendar will be the inaugural Budweiser 300 at Autodrome Chaudiére, a high-banked quarter-mile in Vallée-Jonction, Quebec. Chaudiére is the first of two new short tracks to the 2014 schedule, and the first new oval to join the Canadian Tire Series slate since 2009. Two-time series champion D.J. Kennington has the most career oval wins with 16 while defending and three-time titlist Scott Steckly has 15.
