LEMANS, France -- Ander Vilariño overcame another near disaster Sunday to claim his second straight NASCAR Whelen Euro Series championship.
The 33-year-old from Spain was spun in the closing minutes of the season finale for the Elite Division on the 2.655-mile Circuit Le Mans Bugatti at LeMans, but he recovered to drive his No. 2 TFT-Banco Santander Chevrolet to a fourth-place finish.> More
LEMANS, France -- Frédéric Gabillon did what he needed to do - driving to the win Saturday - and Ander Vilarino avoided near disaster to remain firmly in control of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series championship battle.
Gabillon led wire-to-wire to pick up his third win of the season. The 37-year-old Frenchman earned the pole in qualifying Saturday morning and kept the No. 5 Rapido Racing by Still Chevrolet out front for all 17 laps on the 2.655-mile Circuit Le Mans Bugatti at LeMans Saturday afternoon.> More
