DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will continue the 2017 points championship schedule at Oswego Speedway in Oswego, New York, on Saturday night. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- With just five races remaining on the 2017 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour points championship schedule, the battle for the title is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory. The top three drivers are separated by just three points, while the top five are separated by just 14, and Saturday’s visit to historic Oswego Speedway will play a key role in deciding the title.

Coby Gets Back To Victory Lane

SEEKONK, Mass. -- Doug Coby finally found himself back in Victory Lane on Saturday night.

The Milford, Connecticut driver dominated the second half of the Seekonk 150 at Seekonk Speedway and captured his first win of the 2017 season. He took the lead from Matt Hirschman on lap 63 and led all but one lap in the final stages en route to the win.

QUALIFYING: Hirschman Wins Seekonk Pole

SEEKONK, Mass. -- Matt Hirschman scored his fourth career Coors Light Pole award on Saturday at Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway. Behind the wheel of his No. 60 Pee Dee Motorsports Chevrolet, Hirschman toured the third-mile Seekonk oval with a fast time of 11.974 seconds. He will start from the top spot in the Seekonk 150 later on Saturday evening.

PRACTICE: Preece Fastest At Seekonk

SEEKONK, Mass. -- Ryan Preece unloaded as the fastest NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour car on Saturday at Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway. Behind the wheel of his No. 6 TS Hauler/Hoosier Tire of Calverton Chevrolet, Preece paced the only practice round for the Seekonk 150 with a fast lap of 11.979 seconds (99.174 mph). Preece will look for his fifth win of the season later on Saturday.

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Patrick Emerling swept his way to Victory Lane with a near-perfect performance at Bristol Motor Speedway on Wednesday.

The Orchard Park, New York, driver was fastest in practice, won the Coors Light Pole Award and proceeded to lead 148 of the 150 laps en route to his first career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victory.

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Patrick Emerling scored his third career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour pole on Wednesday afternoon at Bristol Motor Speedway. Emerling posted a time of 14.517 seconds (132.176 mph) in Coors Light Pole Qualifying and will start from the top spot in the Bush's Beans 150.

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Patrick Emerling is off to a good start as he gets set to make his third NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour start of the season on Wednesday night at Bristol Motor Speedway. In the only practice session for the Bush's Beans 150, Emerling posted the fastest time behind the wheel of his No. 07 Buffalo Auto Auction Chevrolet. Emerling's quick time around the 0.533-mile concrete oval was 14.534 seconds (132.021 mph).
