PRACTICE: Purdy Fastest at New Hampshire

LOUDON, N.H. -- In the last three NASCAR K&N Pro Series races, Chase Purdy has started from the pole in all of them and shown plenty of speed. Friday evening, the fast trend continued for the upcoming NASCAR driver.

Purdy posted the fastest overall time in both of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East practice sessions around the 1.058-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway. His time in the first session of 30.277 seconds (125.798 mph) was the fastest of the day for the series.

Burton Continues Roll At Thompson

THOMPSON, Conn. -- Harrison Burton continues to put a disappointing rookie season in the rearview mirror with a sensational sophomore campaign.

The 16-year-old from Huntersville, North Carolina, outdueled fellow NASCAR Next driver Todd Gilliland in a thrilling side-by-side battle for the lead and claimed the Busch North Throwback 100 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. It was Burton's third win in the last four races and fourth win of the year out of eight starts.

THOMPSON, Conn. -- Chase Purdy will never know how fast his primary car would have gone, but his backup isn't bad for the Busch North Throwback 100.

The 17-year-old from Meridian, Mississippi, won his third straight 21 Means 21 Pole Award presented by Coors Light Saturday evening at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. In the process, he broke the track record set by Martin Truex Jr. in 2002.

PRACTICE: Bassett Sets Pace At Thompson

THOMPSON, Conn. -- Dillon Bassett used a mock qualifying run late in the final practice session for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East at Thompson Motorsport Park to take the top overall spot Saturday afternoon.

Bassett's No. 44 Bassett and More Ford posted a lap of 20.375 seconds (110.429 mph) around the .625-mile oval to pace the field for Saturday night's Busch North Throwback 100.

Rev Racing Unveils Paint Schemes for Thompson

CONCORD, N.C. – Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) unveiled their 2017 short track schedule in December, announcing the return of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. After an eight-year absence for the KNPSE, the upcoming race will celebrate the series’ New England roots and the rich history of the division with the Busch North Throwback 100 on Saturday, July 8.

To mark the occasion, Rev Racing will honorably wrap two of their cars in the former paint schemes of Rogelio López and Tommy Houston.
