Meridian, Idaho -- NASCAR K&N Pro Series West championship points leader Todd Gilliland had the quickest lap out of two 45-minute practice sessions for the NAPA Auto Parts Idaho 208 presented by Perfect Hydration and Lights Out at Meridian Speedway on Saturday.
His No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota for Bill McAnally Racing turned a lap of 68.337 mph (13.170 seconds) around the 0.25-mile track.
That lap came on his 23rd of 24 in the second sesson. His lap of 67.466 mph (13.340 seconds) was good enough for third-fastest in the first practice session and ninth-quickest in terms of overall speeds.
Trevor Cristiani, a Boise, Idaho, native and relatively inexperienced K&N Pro Series West competitor, turned the second fastest overall lap of 68.187 mph (13.199 seconds) at his home track. The driver of the No. 90 Pepsi Chevrolet, who is making his fifth career NKNPSW start, turned that quick lap on his 15th of 19 overall in final practice.
Rounding out the top five overall speeds were Michael Self, as well as Sunoco Rookie of the Year contenders Derek Kraus and Will Rodgers.
Chris Eggleston, Julia Landauer, Todd Souza ans Blaine Perkins rounded out the top 10.
Qualifying for the NAPA Auto Parts Idaho 208 presented by Perfect Hydration and Lights Out is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. MT, with the race going green at 8:30 p.m. MT.
