Roseville, Ca. -- The top two finishers from the NAPA Auto Parts Idaho 208 presented by Perfect Hydration and Lights Out from Meridian Speedway two weekends ago were the top two once again when the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West hit All American Speedway for two 45-minute practice sessions ahead of the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by TriCo Welding Supply on Saturday.
NKNPS West points leader Todd Gilliland turned the quickest lap in the first session in his No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota, wheeling his Camry at 88.971 mph (13.474 seconds) around the Roseville, Ca. short-track on his seventh of 19 total laps in the session.
But Meridian winner Michael Self posted the quickest overall time in his No. 9 Sunrise Ford/Eibach Springs/Braille Batteries/Sinclair Ford with a lap of 89.323 mph (13.421 seconds), coming on his 30th of 32 laps in the final session around the 0.333-mile oval.
Gilliland's fastest lap in the first session was good enough for second overall in the two sessions, with Chris Eggleston, Will Rodgers and Julia Landauer rounding out the top five overall speeds.
Derek Kraus, Trevor Cristiani, Cole Moore, Blaine Perkins and Max Tullman rounded out the top 10 quickest overall speeds.
There were two quick cautions in the second session. Both were for Jonas Fors, who spun in turns two and three, respectively, but sustained no damage.
Group qualifying for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by TriCo Welding Supply is scheduled to begin at 4:45 P.T. with the race going green at approximately 7 p.m. P.T.
