PRACTICE: Lacroix Quickest at CTMP

Sets Fast Time in Pinty's Practice Session

BOWMANVILLE, Ont -- Kevin Lacroix set the quickest time during Saturday's NASCAR Pinty's Series practice session for Sunday's Total Quartz 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. 

The Saint-Eustache, Quebec, driver set a blazing time of 1 minute 22.364 seconds (107.479mph) around the 2.459 mile road course to take the top spot.

Lacroix's No.74 Bumper to Bumper/ Total/ Gates/ Gofast Dodge has won the last two races at CTMP, he is looking for his third consecutive win on the historic Ontario road course. 

Alex Tagliani just barely missed the top spot, setting a fast time of 1:22.387 (107.449) he was 0.023 seconds off Lacroix. Anthony Simone tallied the third quickest time (1:23.177/106.428). 

D.J Kennington and L.P Dumoulin rounded out the top 5.

Andrew Ranger and Gary Klutt finished sixth and seventh respectively. 

Jason Hathaway, Marc-Antoine Camirand and Matthew Scannell complete the top ten. 

Defending series champion Cayden Lapcevich and points leader Alex Labbe both retired from the 55-minute session after engine troubles. 

Qualifying for the Total Quartz 200 is set for 4:40 p.m, while the green flag is set to drop Sunday at 11:05 a.m.
