FansChoice To Stream World Series of Asphalt Racing

10th Annual Diversity Awards Part of Speedweeks Coverage

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona International Speedway is the “World Center of Racing,” and for the next two weeks, fans form around the world will turn their attention to north Florida as the 2017 racing season goes full throttle.

Just 10 minutes down the road from DIS, New Smyrna Speedway will host its 51st World Series of Asphalt Racing. The nine days of racing is highlighted by the nightly action of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing, and like its Daytona counterpart, the week serves as an unofficial kickoff to the NASCAR short-track season. Likewise, fans around the world will focus on the nightly racing on the high-banked half-mile.

And FansChoice.tv will be there to bring the fans the action.

The online home for live racing – everything from powerboats to AMA Pro motorcycles, IMSA and NASCAR – will once again stream live eight nights of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing from New Smyrna. It will start on Friday, Feb. 17 and run through Saturday, Feb. 25, with the live stream beginning each night at 7:30 p.m.

The Jet Tools 150, the season-opener for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, on Sunday, Feb. 19 will be the only night not on FansChoice.tv. The race will air on NBCSN on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10 p.m.

In addition, FansChoice.tv will also bring fans live streaming of the 10th Annual Diversity Awards from the Daytona 500 Club at DIS on Thursday, Feb. 23. The awards recognize the substantial efforts of the people and organizations within the industry to promote inclusion and diversity within the sport.

Race fans will also be able to tune in to the Motorsports Hall of Fame Grand Opening Ceremony from Daytona International Speedway on Friday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m.

The World Series of Asphalt Racing will include the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Super Late Model, Pro Late Model, tour-type Modified and Florida Modified divisions. The Blewett Memorial 76 for the tour-type Modifieds will run on Wednesday, Feb. 22, and the championship race for that division – the Richie Evans Memorial 100 – will be Friday, Feb. 24. The Super Late Model division will culminate its week of racing on Saturday, Feb. 25 with the PPG/Tower Sealants 100. NASCAR Next member and Roush-Fenway Racing development driver Ty Majeski won the Super Late Model title last year.
