Alon Day (#54 CAAL Racing Chevrolet SS) and Gabriele Gardel (#24 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) both took a dominant pole position at Adria International Raceway for the first ELITE 1 race of the American Speed Weekend Semi Finals.
The Israeli lapped the 2,702-kilometer track in 1:20.758 in Superpole to bring home the Race And Win Pole Award for the Semi Finals round, beating points leader Frederic Gabillon (#3 Tepac RDV Compétition Ford Mustang) by .588 seconds. Anthony Kumpen (#24 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) and Nicolò Rocca (#56 CAAL Racing Chevrolet SS) took the second row and Freddy Nordstrom (#44 CAAL Racing Chevrolet SS) rounded out the top-5.
With his first pole of the season, the third of his NASCAR career, Day also led the Junior “Jerome Sarran” Trophy classification, while Carlo Forte (#69 SPV Racing Ford Mustang) let the Challenger Trophy in 14th place.
The ELITE 2 Race And Win Pole Award went to Gabriele Gardel, who took his first career pole position with a 1:22.076 lap. Stienes Longin (#11 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) made it a PK Carsport first row by taking second place ahead of Roman Mavlanov (#1 SPV Racing Ford Mustang), who also led the Rookie Cup, and Martin Doubek (#5 Dexwet Renauer Team Ford Mustang).
Dario Caso (#8 Vict Motorsport Ford Mustang) led the Legend Trophy classification in 8th place, while Arianna Casoli (#56 CAAL Racing Chevrolet SS) edged Erika Monforte (#88 DF1 Racing Team Chevrolet SS) for the Lady Cup.
