LOUDON, N.H. – Ted Christopher reached Victory Lane at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the fifth time in his NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour career, and 10th time overall, Saturday evening in the New Hampshire 100.
Christopher, who finished second to Chuck Hossfeld by just .001 seconds in the New England 100 at New Hampshire in June, garnered his third win of the 2008 season and extended his points lead in the process.> More
LOUDON, N.H. – Ryan Newman’s first outing in a Modified turned out okay. Newman’s No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet was fastest in the 1 ½ practice session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
Newman’s best lap on the 1.058-mile oval was 29.323 seconds for an average speed of 129.891 mph. Newman is driving in Saturday’s New Hampshire 100 for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car owner Kevin Manion.> More

THOMPSON, Conn. – Preseason favorite Todd Szegedy broke through for his first win of the 2008 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season Sunday afternoon in the Sunoco Modified Mania 150 at Thompson International Speedway.
Szegedy (No. 2 Wisk-Snuggle Ford), who ran inside the top five for most of the afternoon, took his first lead of the race on Lap 132 and held off numerous charges by Ronnie Silk (No. 79 Hill Enterprises/Coors Light/Sunoco Pontiac) in the last 22 laps for his 13th career victory, and third at Thompson.> More

Christopher's time of 18.893 seconds around the .625-mile oval produced an average speed of 119.092. He was the only driver of the 32 to practice to break the 119 mark.> More
