Canadian NASCAR fans won't have to cross any international borders to watch Kevin Harvick Inc.'s (KHI) exciting young driver, Cale Gale, this season as Farwell Racing Inc (FRI) announced today that Gale will drive the all new No. 13 Rheem Chevrolet Impala for much of the 2009 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season.
The 24-year-old driver from Mobile, Ala. - named after NASCAR legend Cale Yarborough - is currently under contract with KHI and spends time behind the wheel of KHI's No. 33 Rheem Chevrolet.> More
DELAWARE, Ontario – Several NASCAR Canadian Tire Series teams convened at Delaware Speedway for a test session to shake off some of the rust from a long off-season. Kerry Micks (No. 02 Beyond Digital Imaging Ford) turned in the fastest lap of the day. He navigated the half-mile oval in 19.028 seconds for an average speed of 94.597 mph.
“It felt really good to get back out there,” said Micks. “The car responded to all of the changes we threw at it.”> More
Canadian Tire, the country’s leading retailer of automotive parts and products, announced today that it has signed an agreement with reigning NASCAR champion, Scott Steckly. Driving a newly built car, made to win with more than 350 top-of-the-line performance automotive parts from Canadian Tire, Steckly will hit the tracks this May for his third NASCAR season where he hopes to defend his 2008 championship title.> More
You'll have to forgive J.R. Fitzpatrick for wishing there were more Camping World Truck Series races early in the season. One, he's off to a great start, currently 11th in the points after three races. Two, it keeps him from going back to Canada and having to shovel snow.
Fitzpatrick, who won't turn 21 for another two months, is attempting to run a full season for Kevin Buckler's TRG Motorsports team. He finished a surprising fourth in the season-opener at Daytona, then posted consecutive 22nd-place efforts at California and Atlanta.> More

NASCAR announced today the schedule for the third season of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, which will take the series to some of the top racing facilities throughout Canada.
The schedule features 13 dates at 12 different tracks across six provinces. The slate includes tracks and events familiar to the series, but there are some new components.> More
