DACONO, Colo. -- Chris Eggleston topped the speed charts in both NASCAR K&N Pro Series West practice sessions for the NAPA Toyota 150 at Colorado National Speedway on Saturday afternoon. His No. 99 Platinum NAPA Filters Toyota turned the fastest lap time of 78.394 mph (16.911 seconds) around the .375-mile asphalt oval.
That lap came in the second session on his 24th of 25 laps. His fastest lap of 77.704 mph (17.142 seconds) in the first session was fifth fastest in terms of overall practice speeds.
Eggleston's Bill McAnally Racing teammate and Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Derek Kraus had the second-fastest overall lap. His No. 19 Carlyle Tools/NAPA Belts and Hoses Toyota turned a lap of 78.160 mph (17.042 seconds) on his second-to-final lap in the second and final session as well.
Rounding out the top five on the speed cars were Julia Landauer, Michael Self and championship points leader Todd Gilliland.
Nicole Behar, Blaine Perkins, Kody Vanderwal, Matt Levin and Gracin Raz rounded out the top 10 fastest speeds.
Group qualifying for the NAPA Toyota 150 will take place at 6 p.m. MT. The green flag for the event will fly just past 8:30 p.m.
