BOWMANVILLE, Ont. -- Alex Tagliani topped the field during Saturday's NASCAR Pinty's Series practice session for Sunday's Can-Am 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
The Laval, Quebec, driver paced the field with a lap of 1 minute, 23:315 seconds (106.252mph) around the 2.459-mile road course.
Tagliani’s No. 18 EpiPen/Lowe’s/St. Hubert Dodge was one of only five cars that managed to set a lap time quicker than 1:24.
Kevin Lacroix was second fastest at 1:23.494 (106.024), followed by Alex Labbe (1:23.525/105.985). Gary Klutt and Anthony Simone rounded out the top five.
DJ Kennington logged the sixth fasted time, while Camping World Truck Series regular Christopher Bell took the seventh spot.
Andrew Ranger who let a majority of the session and wound up eighth, while defending series champion Cayden Lapcevich and J.F Dumoulin rounded out the top ten finishers.
Qualifying is set to start at 4 p.m. The Can-Am 200 is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.
