Vallée- Jonction, Que -- Donald Theetge rebounded after a disasterous race at Ontario's Delaware Speedway to claim his second career E3 Spark Plugs Pole Award for Sunday's CRS Express 300 at Autodrome Chaudiere.
Theetge's No.22 Circuit Acura/La Soliel/LiAntidote Dodge set a lap of 13.181 seconds (68.280mph) scoring him his first pole since Kawartha Speedway in 2016.
Theetge's lap time was sixth one thousanths of a second faster than Alex Labbe, who scored the second fastest time, but the Boischatel, Quebec, driver was not fast enough to contend with the track's qualifying record of 12.593 set by Labbe in 2016.
The aformentioned Labbe, who is also the defending race winner at Autodrome Chaudiere, set a lap time of 13.187 (68.249).
Defending series champion Cayden Lapcevich, will start from the third spot with D.J Kennington and LP Dumoulin rounding out the top five.
Andrew Ranger will start sixth, while Alex Tagliani, Mark Dilley, JF Dumoulin and Adam Martin complete the top ten.
The green flag for the CRS Express 300 will fly at 1:30 pm.
