NWES Moves Hockenheim Race To Last Week Of July

Official Release

NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and Hockenheimring announced today that the 2017 NWES race at the legendary German track will take place on July 29-30, moving from its initial slot at the beginning of July to take the date usually reserved to the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

This new announced race is now called “American Fan Fest” and of course has the NWES races as the main attraction.

The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series cars once again provided huge fun to drivers and race fans of the Race Of Champions in Miami, Florida and proved to be a great benchmark to measure the skills of some of the best drivers in the world. The epic battle between NASCAR Champion Kurt Bush and F1 driver David Coulthard on the NWES cars was a highlight of the week-end and thrilled the whole Marlins Park.

NWES Champ Set For Xfinity Series Campaign

Reigning NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Champion Anthony Kumpen will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2017 thanks to the Nexteer Road to Daytona program. He benefited from the prize awarded by NWES for his 2016 title to help him building this campaign which will include at least two races at the wheel of the #46 LeasePlan Chevrolet Camaro fielded by Precision Performance Motorsports at Daytona and at Mid-Ohio.

NWES Appoints Kennol As Official Oil Supplier

Alon Day Athlete Of The Year In Israel

Alon Day’s rising star was recognized on Tuesday during an official ceremony in Tel Aviv, Israel in which the two-time NWES Junior Trophy winner and NASCAR Next driver was recognized as Israel’s Athlete Of The Year in the motorsports category.

Israel’s Ministry Of Culture and Sports rewards every year the best athletes in different categories, with olympic sports, paralympic sports and other sports among them. 2016 marked the first year motorsport was included in the selection and Day is the first ever driver to receive the award.

NWES Cars Selected For The ROC Miami

On January 21st and 22nd the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series cars will be among the vehicles selected for the first North American edition of the Race Of Champions at the Miami Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. 

The NWES car will be featured in the world famous off-season event for the seventh consecutive time thanks to its unique character and the ability to entertain the fans and every kind of driver, from beginners to World Champions.

Diverse Paths Lead Six Drivers To Top Honor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It was the fourth time Doug Coby took the stage to accept a NASCAR championship ring. As the elder statesman on the stage, the Milford, Connecticut, driver took a moment to reflect.

“It seems like just yesterday I was standing right here giving a speech for my first championship and now here I am for number four,” said 37-year-old from Milford, Connecticut. “But a lot has changed in the five years since my first championship, and in fact it has been a great five years for all of the series champions.”
