Myers Scores Win at Bowman Gray

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Burt Myers is no stranger to winning races at Bowman Gray Stadium as the third-generation driver is closing in on his seventh track championship, but it had been a long time since he celebrated in Victory Lane after a NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour race. Not anymore.

Myers took the top spot after leader Kyle Ebersole and Danny Bohn got together on a restart on Lap 161 and held off his brother Jason to win the Strutmasters.com 199 Saturday for his third win of the season and first tour win at the Stadium since 2007.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After a one-month break the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour returns to action this Saturday at Bowman Gray Stadium and one driver looking forward to the return is Danny Bohn.

Bohn joined L.W. Miller as the only drivers to score back-to-back southern tour wins at the stadium and will attempt to become the fourth driver in the history of the tour to score three wins in a row at one track.

Seuss Gets Back to Business at Caraway

SOPHIA, N.C. – Andy Seuss will take a win any way he can get it and that was the case Friday at Caraway Speedway.

Seuss was able to take the lead in the pits during the second caution of the race. Once he got the lead he was able to hold off a strong J.R. Bertuccio to score his first win of the season taking the Davis Roofing 150.

Bertuccio appeared to have the best car of the field after he started from the front row winning his first Coors Light Pole Award of the season during qualifying.

The 2010 tour champion has always been known as a strong second-half performer, but this season he’s already picked up a pair of wins before July.

Whelen Modified Telecasts Announced

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR and NBC Sports Group have announced a telecast lineup of 12 races on NBCSN for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tours.

The 2016 telecast schedule features races from five of the sport’s most iconic short tracks and five companion events at NASCAR national series facilities. Included in the slate are the season finale championship events for both the Whelen Modified Tour and Whelen Southern Modified Tour.
