Wednesday, the driver of the No. 6 TS Haulers/Hoosier Tire of Calverton Chevrolet continued his dominant roll in the series. He posted the fastest time in the first and only practice session for the Bud King of Beers 150 at Thompson (Conn.) Speedway Motorsports Park. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Even though it has only just started, the new combination of Craig Lutz and Jeff Goodale seems to be paying off. Lutz, behind the wheel of the No. 46 Riverhead Building Supply Chevrolet, scored his first career Coors Light Pole award on Friday night in advance of the Stafford 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway. His fast time of 18.345 seconds around the half-mile Stafford oval was just good enough to put him on the top spot.> More
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Four-time Whelen Modified Tour champion Doug Coby posted the fastest overall time in practice Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway. The two sessions were in preparation for the Stafford 150. The driver of the Mayhew Tools No. 2 posted a quick time of 18.383 seconds in the final practice round, besting all of his challengers by more than a tenth. Coby will seek his seventh straight Coors Light Pole award at Stafford in group qualifying on Friday night and will also seek his 11th victory at the half-mile in the Stafford 150.> More

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- For much of his career on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Dave Sapienza has been trying to catch up to the pack.
Sapienza will openly admit that the last few years have been a struggle for the Long Island-based team. He crashed out of his first career series start in 2014 and when the 2015 season came around, things didn't get much better. He captured a best finish of ninth that season, but failed to finish in five of his 14 starts while also failing to qualify at Bristol.> More
LOUDON, N.H. -- For much of Saturday's Eastern Propane & Oil 100, Bobby Santos was riding in the middle of the pack. The Franklin, Massachusetts, driver began his charge with 15 laps to go and then took advantage of overtime to drive to Victory Lane at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
It was Santos' 15th career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour win and second at the 1.058-mile oval.> More
