For those unable to attend the 2011 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Awards Banquet and/or NASCAR Night of Champions Touring Series Awards Gala held last December in the Grand Ballroom of the Charlotte (N.C.) Convention Center within the NASCAR Hall of Fame complex, here is an opportunity to view these tremendous events. Or, perhaps, those in attendance would like to relive the many magical moments.
> MoreBAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Manteca, Calif., teenager Jacob Gomes has signed with Joiner Race Cars for a part-time effort in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West in 2012, with sponsorship from Sunny Valley Smoked Meats and Dell’Osso Farms.
The 18-year-old is the first of several drivers who will be driving in JRC’s new NASCAR K&N Pro Series program this year.
> MoreROSEVILLE, Calif. - Cassie Gannis will return with GSR Racing for a full season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West this year and make a run for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors, the team has announced.
Seventeen-year-old Trevor Cristiani, Cassie’s new teammate at GSR, will make his series debut and will also make a run for rookie honors.
Greg Rayl, last year’s full-time driver for GSR, will be stepping out of the driver’s seat to play a role of car chief/crew chief for both teams.

The 18-year-old from Spokane, Wash., will be behind the wheel of the Western Rail-sponsored Chevrolet beginning on April 14 at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. This year's schedule for Havens includes all of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series short-track races and a potential start at Phoenix International Raceway in November.

The schedule stretches from March to November and includes visits to 13 venues in 10 states as the West’s oldest stock car racing circuit celebrates its 59th season.

The festivities featured the champions and top drivers from all of NASCAR’s North American regional touring series, who gathered for the special year-end celebration.

Quiroga was recognized along with five other NASCAR touring series champions at the Grand Champions Awards ceremony Charlotte Convention Center on Saturday morning. Quiroga, who made two Camping World Truck Series starts this season, won his third consecutive Mexico Series title in 2011.
