PRACTICE: Burton Leads The Way In Memphis

K&N Pro East Points Leader Remains Quick

MILLINGTON, Tenn. -- Harrison Burton was quickest in NASCAR K&N Pro Series East final practice for the Memphis 125 Presented by AutoZone on Saturday afternoon, turning a fast lap of 112.285 mph (24.046 seconds) around the 3/4-mile asphalt oval.

Burton's fastest lap in the No. 12 DEX Imaging Toyota came on his 36th circuit of the session with only five minutes remaining. Burton currently leads the K&N East points standings, has won two of the last three events and has finished inside the top five in every race this season.

Rookie of the Year contender Chase Purdy finished second in the practice session, turning a lap of 112.094 mph (24.087 seconds). Todd Gilliland, who sits second in the K&N East standings and leads the K&N West standings, came home third in the session with Chase Cabre and Tyler Dippel rounding out the top five.

Trey Hutchens, Travis Miller, Dillon Bassett, Ruben Garcia Jr. and Ronnie Bassett Jr. rounded out the top 10 practice speeds. All ten drivers were within two tenths of each other on the speed charts.

Group qualifying for the Memphis 125 Presented by AutoZone is scheduled to begin at 3:05 p.m. The race itself is scheduled to begin at 5:05 p.m.
