PRACTICE: Self Leads The Field At Roseville

Teams Prepare For Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150

ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Michael Self topped the speed chart in NASCAR K&N Pro Series West practice at All American Speedway on Saturday as teams prepared for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150.

Self of Park City, Utah, was quickest of 30 drivers during two 45-minute practice sessions, turning a lap of 13.813 seconds (86.788 mph) around the third-mile oval.

Derek Thorn was second quickest, with a lap of 13.824 seconds (86.719 mph). He was followed by Eric Holmes, Jason Fensler and Dylan Kwasniewski. Rounding out the top 10 were Cameron Hayley, Jonathon Gomez, Jamie Krzysik, Austin Dyne and Mike David.

The track record at Roseville is 13.589 seconds, set by Jason Bowles in 2009.

Self, with two wins this season, is fifth in the championship standings.

This event is the 14th of a 15-race schedule for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West.

Qualifying for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. today, with the race slated to go green at 8:35 p.m.
