ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Derek Thorn set the fast mark in NASCAR K&N Pro Series West qualifying at All American Speedway on Saturday to take the Coors Light Pole for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150.
A lap of 13.675 seconds (87.664 mph) on the third-mile oval earned the driver of the No. 6 Sunrise Ford/Lucas Oil/Eibach Ford his third pole this season and fourth of his career.
Cameron Hayley, who has a series high six poles this season, was second quickest at a lap of 13.774 seconds (87.034 mph). Eric Holmes was third fastest, followed by local driver Jason Romero, making his series debut. Greg Pursley was fifth quickest.
Rounding out the top 10 in qualifying were Dylan Lupton, Michael Waltrip, Dylan Hutchison, Travis Milburn and Patrick Staropoli.
Thorn enters tonight's race with a 20-point lead in the championship standings. He has one top five in two starts at Roseville.
