THOMPSON, Conn. – Due to persistent precipitation at the track, and more in the forecast, NASCAR officials and Thompson International Speedway have decided to postpone tonight’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Budweiser 150 presented by New England Dodge Dealers until Thursday, Sept. 3.

The rescheduled Budweiser 150 will be the second of three trips for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour to Thompson in 2009, and is now slated to be the 10th event on the Tour’s 14-race schedule.

With this postponement, up next for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will be the UNOH Perfect Storm at Bristol on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The 150-lap race – at ‘The World’s Fastest Half Mile” in Tennessee – will be televised on SPEED on a 45-minute tape delay starting at 7 p.m. ET.
