RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The NASCAR K&N Pro Series recently visited the K&N Engineering headquarters in Riverside, Calif., as part of an employee appreciation day, with a special “Meet and Greet” featuring some of the top drivers from the series. The visit came the day prior to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale (Calif.) on July 3.

Teams from the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West lined the parking area of the K&N facility with their team haulers and cars on display. King Taco was also on hand to provide excellent food throughout the day and NOS energy drinks provided refreshments.

In addition to the team haulers, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West trailer and tool truck were also on display at the event.

K&N just took the title sponsorship spot at the beginning of the season for the NASCAR Series, a partnership that has immediately benefitted both parties immensely. Being divided into two groups, the Pro Series East and West have become the top developmental series for today's drivers. The East series is now in its 23rd season, and the West is in its 57th season, featuring races all throughout the Western United States. The two series' are separate in points, but both follow the same set of guidelines for points, rules and vehicles. Both the East and West Series' have been the gateway for many of NASCAR's biggest names, including Kevin Harvick and Joey Lagano.

The K&N NASCAR Pro Series employee appreciation day was a great opportunity for the drivers to show their appreciation for both the great sponsorship K&N has given them, and the great products K&N produces that are being used on just about all of the cars.

Luis Martinez Jr., driver of the #6 Kind Taco/Sunrise Ford/ Lucas Oil Ford said "he was honored to have K&N as a sponsor for the series." Matrinez started as a kid in go-karting and in a very short period of time has moved up to be a top rookie contender in the K&N Pro Series West.

Throughout the day, there were several activities for the employees and drivers to enjoy. Included was a remote controlled circle track with several cars for the employees to race on to get a small taste of what the Pro Series drivers do on a much larger scale. Winners of each race had the choice of some great K&N apparel; either a cool K&N fitted hat or several choices of some hot his or hers K&N T-shirts. NOS energy also has some great prizes for their bean bag toss game while providing free samples of their great varieties of energy drinks.
