GUADALARAJA, Mexico -- Antonio Perez added to his points lead with his first win of the season Sunday in the GOOY Racing 200 presented by Pennzoil at Autodromo Bernardo Obregon.
It's the second time Perez, the 2008 NASCAR Mexico Series champion, has won at Guadalaraja and was his eighth career victory.
Perez started sixth and took the lead from Jorge Goeters on a restart with two laps remaining.
Pole sitter German Quiroga led a race-high 53 laps. Goeters, Irwin Vences and Oscar Ruiz also led laps.
Quiroga finished second, .232 seconds behind Perez. Carlos Peralta was third, followed by Jorge Arteaga and Rogelio Lopez. Alejandro Capin, rookie Daniel Suarez, Elliot Van Rankin, Pepe Montano and Ruben Rovelo rounded out the top 10.
Perez leads Homero Richards by 80 points and defending champion Quiroga by 96. Rovelo and Lopez are fourth and fifth in points, respectively.
The NASCAR Mexico Series returns to the track Aug. 21 at Monterrey.
