The driver of the No. 58 GAF Roofing Chevrolet posted a time of 18.389 seconds (97.885 mph) in the final few minutes and it was the fastest lap of the 1 hour, 10 minute round. Doug Coby, who enters the race as the points leader by 11 markers, was fourth. Ryan Preece, who has swept both races at the half-mile so far this season, rounded out the top five.
Six through 10 in the session went to Ron Silk, Chase Dowling, Craig Lutz, Timmy Solomito and David Sapienza.
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will return to the track for Coors Light Pole qualifying on Saturday, which is scheduled for just after 2:30 p.m.
