Première victoire en NASCAR pour Dumarey

La PK Carsport était imbattable en division ÉLITE 2 ce week-end en Italie. Guillaume Dumarey (n°24 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) remporte sa toute première victoire en NASCAR sur le l’Autodromo di Franciacorta à l’occasion de la course du dimanche en devançant de peu son coéquipier Felipe Rabello (n°11 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) à la fin des 25 tours de la course. Les deux coéquipiers signent le second doublé de l’équipe belge ce week-end, dans l’ordre inverse de celui réalisé samedi.

“Je suis si heureux. Je l’ai attendue depuis si longtemps,” a expliqué le Belge qui termine sur la Victory Lane 3 ans et 8 mois après son frère Maxim qui avait remporté le titre de champion ÉLITE 2 en 2014. “J’ai beaucoup essayé. C’est l’un des meilleurs jours de ma vie. La sensation quand vous coupez la ligne d’arrivée est incroyable. Je suis si heureux pour l’équipe, car ils travaillent énormément. Avec ces doublés hier et aujourd’hui, le week-end est tout simplement parfait.”

Concernant la domination de la PK Carsport, Felipe Rabello ajoute : “Je suis très heureux de ce doublé. J’avais l’état d’esprit pour gagner cette course. J’ai tout donné, mais Guillaume était si rapide jusqu’à la fin. Il n’a pas fait la moindre erreur. Félicitations à lui. C’est si bon pour l’équipe de connaître un tel week-end. Je les remercie tous pour le travail réalisé.”

Guillaume Deflandre (n°77 Memphis Racing Chevrolet SS) termine en troisième position et réalisé le second podium de suite pour la Memphis Racing. Ulysse Delsaux (n°3 Tepac RDV Compétition Toyota Camry) et Maciej Dreszer (n°56 CAAL Racing Chevrolet SS) se sont battus pour la quatrième place et c’est Delsaux qui a pris le meilleur en fin de course.

Paul Guiod (n°73 Knauf Racing Ford Mustang) termine sixième devant Maxim Pampel (n°7 Belgium Driver Academy Ford Mustang), qui remporte la Rookie Cup pour la première fois de la saison en dépassant Justin Kunz (n°46 Racing Total Ford Mustang) dans les derniers tours. Nicholas Risitano (n°8 Racers Motorsport Ford Mustang) termine neuvième sous le drapeau à damier alors que Marconi Abreu (n°47 MRT Nocentini Ford Mustang) complète le top 10.

Tom Boonen (n°91 Braxx Racing Chevrolet Camaro) était au volant de la nouvelle Chevrolet Camaro en NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. Pour les débuts de ce nouveau modèle il termine treizième de cette seconde course ÉLITE 2 du week-end. Son coéquipier Jerry de Weerdt (n°78 Braxx Racing Ford Mustang) remporte le Legend Trophy en terminant quinzième. Carmen Boix Gil (n°1 Alex Caffi Motorsport Ford Mustang) remporte la Lady Cup devant Arianna Casoli (n°54 CAAL Chevrolet SS).

La division ÉLITE 2 sera de retour à la compétition les 9 et 10 juin prochains sur le légendaire Brands Hatch Indy Circuit en Grande Bretagne pour la sixième édition du très populaire American Speedfest.

Dumarey sichert sich ersten NASCAR Karrieresieg

PK Carsport war beim NASCAR GP von Italien in der ELITE 2 Division unschlagbar. Guillaume Dumarey (#24 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) sicherte sich am Autodromo di Franciacorta den ersten Sieg in seiner Karriere. Hinter ihm kam sein Teamkollege Felipe Rabello (#11 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) ins Ziel. Die beiden PK Carsport Piloten holten für das belgische Team am Sonntag den zweiten Doppelsieg in Italien.

“Ich bin so glücklich!”, sagt der Belgier. Vor drei Jahren und acht Monaten stand sein Bruder Maxim auf seinem Weg zum ELITE 2 Titel zuletzt in der Victory Lane – ausgerechnet in Italien. “Ich habe dafür lange trainiert. Es war einer der besten Tage meines Lebens. Das Gefühl, auf Platz eins über die Ziellinie zu fahren, ist einfach unglaublich. Ich freue mich auch für das Team, das hart gearbeitet hat. Die Mannschaft hat alles für den Sieg getan. Nach dem Doppelsieg gestern haben wir heute unser Wochenende perfekt gemacht.”

Rabello kommentiert die dominante Leistung seines Teams: “Ich freue mich sehr über den Doppelsieg. Ich hatte vor, das Rennen zu gewinnen und habe alles gegeben. Guillaume war aber bis zum Ende sehr schnell. Er hat keine Fehler gemacht und damit verdient gewonnen. Es ist toll, als Team so ein Wochenende in Italien zu erleben. Ich danke der Mannschaft für die tolle Leistung.”

Guillaume Deflandre (#77 Memphis Racing Chevrolet SS) landete auf Platz drei und sicherte sich damit sein drittes Podium in Folge. Ulysse Delsaux (#3 Tepac RDV Compétition Toyota Camry) und Maciej Dreszer (#56 CAAL Racing Chevrolet SS) lieferten sich einen harten Kampf um Platz vier, den letztendlich Delsaux für sich entschied.

Paul Guiod (#73 Knauf Racing Ford Mustang) beendete das Rennen auf Rang sechs, direkt vor Maxim Pampel (#7 Belgium Driver Academy Ford Mustang). Der Belgier gewann erstmals den Rookie Cup. Er überholte Justin Kunz (#46 Racing Total Ford Mustang), der auf Platz acht landete, in der Schlussphase des Rennens. Nicholas Risitano (#8 Racers Motorsport Ford Mustang) wurde Neunter, direkt vor Marconi Abreu (#47 MRT Nocentini Ford Mustang), der die Top 10 komplettierte.

Tom Boonen (#91 Braxx Racing Chevrolet Camaro) kam beim Debüt des neuen Euro NASCAR Chevrolet Camaro Body Kits auf Platz 13 ins Ziel. Sein Teamkollege Jerry de Weerdt (#78 Braxx Racing Ford Mustang) gewann auf Platz 15 liegend die Legend Trophy. Carmen Boix Gil (#1 Alex Caffi Motorsport Ford Mustang) siegte im Lady Cup vor Arianna Casoli (#54 CAAL Racing).

Die ELITE 2 Division wird am 9-10. Juni am legendären Indy-Kurs im britischen Brands Hatch ihr nächstes Rennen austragen. Es ist bereits die sechste Version des beliebten American Speedfest.

Dumarey conquista la sua prima vittoria in #NASCAR

PK Carsport si è rivelato ancora una volta davvero imbattibile nel NASCAR GP of Italy della Divisione ELITE 2. Guillaume Dumarey (#24 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) ha conquistato la sua prima vittoria in NASCAR all’Autodromo di Franciacorta nella corsa della domenica, seguito a ruota da Felipe Rabello (#11 PK Carsport Chevrolet SS) alla fine di una lunga battaglia protrattasi per tutti i 25 giri della gara. I due compagni di squadra hanno portato a casa un’altra doppietta dopo quella conquistata ieri a posizioni invertite.

“Sono davvero felice! Stavo aspettando questo momento da così tanto tempo,” ha detto il belga, che riporta la Victory Lane in famiglia esattamente 3 anni e 8 mesi dopo suo fratello Maxim, vincitore del titolo ELITE 2 2014. “Ho lavorato a lungo per ottenere questo risultato. E’ uno dei giorni più belli della mia vita. E’ incredibile cosa si prova quando tagli il traguardo per primo. Sono davvero felice perchè il team ha lavorato molto e ho potuto ripagare i loro sforzi. Due doppiette in due gare, è stato un weekend praticamente perfetto!”

Sull’incredibile weekend del team PK Carsport, Rabello a detto: “Sono entusiasta per questa doppietta. Volevo vincere anche questa gara, ho fatto del mio meglio ma Guillaume è stato veloce fino alla fine, non ha fatto un solo errore. Congratulazioni! Voglio ringraziare il team per questo spettacolare fine settimana in Italia!”

Guillaume Deflandre (#77 Memphis Racing Chevrolet SS) è giunto terzo al traguardo a breve distanza dal duo di testa, conquistando anche il secondo podio per il Memphis Racing. Ulysse Delsaux (#3 Tepac RDV Compétition Toyota Camry) e Maciej Dreszer (#56 CAAL Racing Chevrolet SS) hanno lottato duramente per il quarto posto ed è stato Delsaux ad avere la meglio nell’ultima parte di gara.

Nicholas Risitano (#8 Racers Motorsport Ford Mustang) è giunto nono sotto la bandiera a scacchi con il brasiliano Marconi Abreu (#47 MRT Nocentini Ford Mustang) che ha chiuso la Top10.

Il suo compagno di squadra Jerry de Weerdt (#78 Braxx Racing Ford Mustang) ha conquistato la vittoria nel Legend Trophy grazie al 15esimo posto mentre Carmen Boix Gil (#1 Alex Caffi Motorsport Ford Mustang) è risultata la vincitrice della Lady Cup, precedendo di un soffio Arianna Casoli (#54 CAAL Chevrolet SS).

La Divisione ELITE 2 tornerà in azione il 9 e 10 giugno sul leggendario tracciato di Brands Hatch, che ospiterà nel suo tracciato Indy la sesta edizione del popolare e affollatissimo American Speedfest.
