WATKINS GLEN, NY — Qualifying for the Great Outdoors RV Superstore 100 from Watkins Glen International has been cancelled due to rain. The lineup will be set per the rulebook.
K&N East points leader and winner of the last three races, Tyler Ankrum, will start first alongside his DGR-Crosley teammate Tyler Dippel.
In his only other K&N East road course event, Ankrum started fourth and finished ninth at New Jersey Motorsports Park earlier this season. Dippel started sixth and finished 12th in his only other WGI start. His best K&N Pro Series road course result came at NJMP in 2016 where the Walkill, NY native came home seventh.
Ronnie Bassett Jr., Tristan Van Wieringen and Anthony Alfredo round out the top five starters, with Ryan Vargas, Ruben Garcia Jr., Dillon Bassett, Chase Cabre and Spencer Davis completing the top 10.
Two-time WGI K&N East winner Scott Heckert will start 14th, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr. will roll off 15th and defending series champion Harrison Burton will take the green flag from 16th.
Road course specialists Will Rodgers and Ernie Francis Jr. will have to fight their way to the front. Rodgers, winner of the last five K&N Pro Series road course events, will take the green flag from 17th whereas Francis Jr. will start 19th.
Two-time K&N East winner Noah Gragson will start 18th and MENCS regular Erik Jones will roll off 25th.
Brett Moffitt, who was quickest in the only practice session of the weekend, will roll off 21st.
The green flag for the 41-lap, 100.45-mile event is scheduled to fly at approximately 4:45 p.m. ET.
