St-Eustache, Que — Kevin Lacroix had the fastest time during practice for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series’ Lucas Oil 250 at Autodrome St-Eustache.
Lacroix’s No.74 Bumper to Bumper/ Total/ Gates Dodge set a blistering time of 17.370 seconds (82.902 mph) to claim the top spot at the end of the 70-minute session.
The 29-year-old driver from St-Eustache, Quebec will be looking to get back in the winner’s circle for the first time since he won at Jukasa Motor Speedway in June. Lacroix will also be competing for his first win at his home track.
Alex Tagliani, who comes into this event second in points, logged the second fastest time with a 17.405 (82.735). Tagliani, who won the last Pinty’s Series race two weeks ago at CTMP, looks to close the 14-point gap to points leader LP Dumoulin.
Marc-Antoine Camirand had the third quickest time with a lap clocking in a 17.488 (82.342). Camirand continues the hunt for his first career Pinty’s Series victory.
Series veteran Larry Jackson finished the session in fourth, with rookie Steve Cote – making his first start since Delaware Speedway in 2012 – completing the top five.
Cole Powell and Andrew Ranger wound up sixth and seventh, respectively.
Donald Theetge, Points Leader LP Dumoulin and JF Dumoulin rounded out the top ten
D.J Kennington suffered a spin late in practice and would wind up with the 14th fastest time.
Qualifying for the Lucas Oil 250 from Autodrome St-Eustache is set to start at 4:45 p.m. with the green flag set to drop at 8:30 p.m.
