HAGERSVILLE, Ont — Cole Powell was quickest during practice for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series’ Pinty’s Fall Brawl at Jukasa Motor Speedway.
The 25-year-old racer from Mount-Brydges, Ont logged a blazing fast time of 18.734 second (120.102mph) to claim P1 after the 65 minute session.
Powell’s No.3 Copps Buildall/ Kubota Canada Chevrolet suffered a broken axel seal earlier in the session, but his team at Ed Hakonson Racing was able to get Powell back on track to complete practice. Powell sits 19 points back of Point Leader LP Dumoulin and looks to close the gap with a strong run.

Track record holder D.J Kennington was second quick logging a lap timed at 18.856 (119.325). Kennington currently sits 25 points back of Dumoulin in the standings.
Donald Theetge was third quick with a time of 18.948 (118.746). Theetge will be looking score his first win at the .625 mile oval, after finishing second last year in a heartbreaking finish with Cayden Lapcevich.
Anthony Simone was fourth quick. Followed by second in points Alex Tagliani in fifth. Tagliani sits only four points back and hopes to score his first NASCAR Pinty’s Series Championship.
Andrew Ranger and New Hampshire winner Kevin Lacroix were sixth and seventh respectively.
Peter Shepherd III, Marc-Antoine Camirand and Points Leader LP Dumoulin, in the hunt for his second Series title, complete the top ten.
Qualifying for the Pinty’s Fall Brawl will commence at 4 p.m, while final green flag of the 2018 season is scheduled to drop at 7:35 p.m.
