Quebec City, Que– Donald Theetge, an experienced driver from Quebec City, confirms his first NASCAR Xfinity participation for 2019 with Mario Gosselin’s DGM Racing. Theetge will be driving at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 2nd.
Theetge Motorsport and DGM Racing renew their partnership for the second year in a row. In 2018, Theetge was involved in two NASCAR Xfinity events at the 1-mile track at Loudon, New Hampshire and Phoenix, Arizona. In March he will compete at the Boyd Gaming 300 in Las Vegas for his first time on a 1.5 mile track, after he obtained his licence in late 2018.
“My ultimate goal is race the 1.5 mile tracks this year to get my license for 2 mile tracks and finish my career in Daytona” said the 52-year-old driver.
After following Alex Labbé on this track last year, Theetge is eager to get behind the wheel. “The place, the track, the city, everything is fantastic in Vegas. It’s amazing that it will be my first event of the year” mentions Theetge, who wants to compete for fun while having in mind to bring the car home in one piece and of course, getting the best possible position.
Depending on the sponsor’s response, Theetge should add more races to his schedule in collaboration with Mario Gosselin of DGM Racing in 2019.
“I’m looking forward to having this opportunity to work with and prepare a car for Donald for the race in Vegas, I know Donald has already begun working hard on his preparation for this event and I will have good results” mentioned Gosselin.
Donald’s fans are able to watch him in action live on March 2nd on the TSN broadcast for the Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway at 4:00 p.m. eastern time.
Donald wants to thank his sponsors: Mercedes-Benz St. Nicholas, Circuit Acura, Auto Frank et Michel and XPN World.
