Vallee-Jonction, Que– Kyle Busch Motorsports development driver and one of Quebec’s biggest rising stars Raphael Lessard announced Thursday that he will be making his NASCAR Pinty’s Series debut on June 29 at Autodrome Chaudiere for Dumoulin Competition.
The 17-year-old from Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce, Quebec has been been busy on the American Motorsport scene making his NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series debut this past March at Martinsville with KBM, and his NASCAR K&N Pro Series debut at Bristol for Bill McAnally Racing.
Lessard told Le Journal de Montreal that “You do not know how much I can not wait to roll in front of my audience,” I do not have the chance to run very often in Quebec and especially in my area. It will be very motivating.”
Also being reported is that driver Jean-Francois Dumoulin will shift to a part-time schedule to focus on the preparation side of things.
Fans can catch Lessard back in action in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series at Dover on May 3.
