Sun Peaks, B.C. driver Jason White has announced that he will be making six NASCAR Pinty’s starts this season, leading up to his 100th series start. When White takes the green flag for Race No.2 at Wyant Group Raceway in Saskatoon, he will officially cross that milestone off his bucket list.
“I’ve had my eye on that number for a while,” White told TSN’s Todd Lewis. “A few years ago it seemed far away but now that it’s getting closer I’m super proud to hitting that mark in this great series.”
In White’s prior 94 series starts, he has achieved two top five finishes and 17 top tens with a best finish of fifth. White looks to come out of the gate strong and contend for his first career win in the Pinty’s Series.
For 2019, White will be moving teams. Making the move from DJK Racing to CBRT, to once again pilot his familiar No.21 Powder Ventures Dodge. White will be teammates to both 2018 ROTY Brett Taylor and Series veteran Anthony Simone.
CBRT announced that veteran racer Larry Jackson will serve as the crew chief for White in these six events.
White’s first event of the season will be the Clarington 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, May 18 and 19, to open the 2019 NASCAR Pinty’s Series season.
