STAFFORD, Conn. — Two weeks have done nothing to slow Justin Bonsignore.
The defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion paced the only practice session Saturday for the Spring Sizzler 200 at Stafford Motor Speedway. Bonsingore had been fastest in both practices on April 27 before rain eventually caused the first of three postponements of the event.
Saturday, Bonsignore had a lap of 17.875 seconds (100.699 mph) on his fourth of 15 laps he took.
RACING-REFERENCE: Final Practice Results
Rob Summers posted the second fastest time at 18.037 (99.795), followed by Doug Coby at at 18.038 (99.789).
Craig Lutz and Chris Pasteryak were fourth and fifth, respectively..
Anthony Nocella was sixth, followed by Max Zachem, Tommy Catalano, Dave Sapienza and Patrick Emerling.
Group qualifying is slated for 2:30 p.m., with the NAPA Spring Sizzler 200 at approximately 4:45 p.m. today.
