BOWMANVILLE, Ont — Marc-Antoine Camirand was fastest during practice for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series’ Total Quartz 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Camirand’s No.22 GM Paille Chevrolet set a time of 1 minute 22.152 seconds (107.752mph) around the 2.459 mile road course to claim the top spot after the one hour session. The Saint-Leonard d’Aston, Quebec driver has a best finish of second coming in the spring race one year ago.

Lacroix looks for his series leading 5th CTMP victory. The Saint-Eustache, Quebec driver looks to sweep CTMP for the second time in his career having done so in 2017.
CBRT’s Anthony Simone rebounded after missing last week at Riverside. Simone’s No.1 Silverline Tools Dodge set the third quickest time 1:23.331 (106.231). Simone has a best finish of second coming all the way back in 2009.
ARCA Menards’s Series standout Chandler Smith was fourth quickest, followed by Alex Labbe rounding out the top five.
Points leader Andrew Ranger and CTMP track record holder Gary Klutt were sixth and seventh respectively. LP Dumoulin suffered mechanical problems during practice but still came home eighth quick. Simon Dion-Viens and D.J Kennington completed the top ten.
Qualifying for the TOTAL Quartz 200 will get underway at 5 p.m, with the green flag set to drop Sunday at 11:05 a.m.
